Tampering with Post

Yesterday [15 Aug 2018] someone opened a card addressed to me and stole money from it. I didnt know about this until around 11.30pm last night when I went downstairs to check the post and bring the rubbish out.

Its a communal area and workman/men [im not sure if one or 2 men] where in doing fire safety works to flat door of one of the flats in building. They where supposed to also do mine but didnt let me know they/he had finished on the door they where doing - I was in and could hear the works going on. Instead I get a note pushed under my flat door about re-booking appointment which I 'm [not] going to do.

The usual postman has been on the job 28 yrs he says - I had to ask him today about the card, what time it was delivered etc. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone as I really don't know who tampered with the card and stole the money. Its the first time this has happened.

Tenant upstairs and tenant downstairs and her b/f where around yesterday when the works on door started around 1.15pm as well as the workman/men.

The card was on a small bookcase one of the other tenants put in communal area, under 2 other letters addressed to me.

The post was delivered before 12.00pm - around 11am or so.

update 17 Aug 2018
The only reason I knew that the b/f of tenant in flat A was here was because I remember seeing him from my kitchen window sitting on one of the chairs in the back garden. He was in full view but with back turned facing  towards me.

He was sitting at top end of garden. I remember wondering why he was sitting sort of turned round facing the wall looking like he was doing something, I couldnt see what.  He could have sat on other chairs below my kitchen window out of view but he didn't.

I didnt see but could hear the others who where around.

The more I think about who stole the money - i have gone through all those around at the time and now believe I know who it was - but I don't have actual proof.

29 Aug 2018
Housing officer not got back to me about the tampering and theft, the councils Twitter account has got back to me about a matter so will have to try that route.

Someone phoned me today  about rebooking an appointment re the fire door upgrade but I refused to rebook, for reason I informed the lady.

The problem with the tenant above and allowing her b/fs to chain their cycles up next to mine on rail at side of pathway leading up to the front door, obstructing my cycle has started again with bloke who I think since Sat 25 Aug 2018 has moved in.

His cycle was chained up next to mine on Sat and I needed to go out to get some grocies on my bike, his bike fell on the floor and I went to pick it up and thought no why should I. I called up to him/her but I was ignored so I left the bike on the floor. It was still there when I came back so I chained my cycle on rail on steps leading up to front door - obstructing access to front garden [this was where her previous b/f who had moved in used to chain his bike].

The current b/f with black mountain bike with yellow markings only came down to pick the bike up from the pathway after tenant in flat A came in. He and bike disappeared Mon, but last night he and bike appeared again and he and bike are still here. I don't know if he is same bloke who is supposed to be tenants 'nephew' who joined in with tenant when she verballed abused me outside not so long ago because I asked him if he was going to chain his bike up next to mine. Temper temper - selective maybe.

Update
Lastest b/f isnt the one who is supposed to be her nephew. New lastest one is another 'rasta' [wannabe maybe], short dreadlocks, not as bulky as the other one. Coming round here 'disrespecting' me where I live all because .... well, work that one out. Not good.

2 Sept 2018
I wasn't going to mention this but its started again today Sunday.

I was having a lie down yesterday [i get very tired at times and have days where I can't really do much] and was also trying to meditate when above me, I can hear the tenant banging about. This was around 4.30pm. Oh great I thought. Anyway I then hear drilling and and this went on for a little while. Tenant above is doing the drilling. She then goes out and comes back with a bloke to do the drilling. The bloke turns out to be the current b/f . The drilling and banging continues on and off up to around 8pm.

Today the tenant and b/f go off around the corner and come back and the drilling and banging starts again around 3.45pm. I shout out to tenant to pack the noise in, its Sunday ffs - she could have done this stuff in the week. She ignores me of course. The b/f seems to do as he is told.

The work going on seems to be a continuation of work someone from housing repairs was doing, which he probably wasn't supposed to be doing [and left the wood/board outside in front garden] and making all that noise, where tenants sister came down and told me to mind my own business.

I guess someone from the council phoned tenant up Thurs/Friday as around 9.10am she woke me up by coming down her stairs and shouting stuff [for my benefit] i only caught the end of what she said, which actually made me laugh - oh the irony. 'i spoke to the council about this, grow up' she says.

Grow up she says. Seriously she can be quite funny at times.

I think she does some things to provoke me and i think i'm not supposed to say anything about it.

I think she has a problem with anger management judging from the exploding outbursts of insults and abuse directed at me over the years and even more recently.

I don't think she shows me much consideration in regards to how she behaves at times and the impact it has on me or even other people.  This is supposed to be my home, my safeplace,  what a bad joke that is. I am quite prepared to give and take, to even have some type of converstation with her to reach a suitable to both of us agreement, that doesnt involve shouting and insults but she isnt prepared to do that. Mediation via the landlord was offered to both of us a few years back, which I agreed to but she didn't. I don't think the service exists anymore.

4.4Opm - drilling and banging still going on. No notice, nothing, just like the new home owner next door [3 months now with the banging etc and it isnt finished yet who the tenant has at times shouted at about the noise and made threats to] and housing repairs. No consideration for others who may be affected by the noise nuisance.

update
6.40pm intermittant drilling, banging with hammer and heavy footsteps still going on.I can hear them above my radio.

Update
Its stopped now.

Ive just checked my emails - havent done so since last week and found an email the housing officer sent to me on Thursday 30 Aug 2018 at 6pm.

"Hope you are keeping good

"I have received a complaint from another resident in the block  that someone in the block is blocking  accessing into the building by chaining their bike/bikes to the railing which is preventing wheel chair users/other residents and their guests into the building. Please can you kindly ensure the said obstruction is removed to prevent accidents.

Thanking you for your cooperation."

Well Im confused, surely she means the tenant in flat C and her b/f - like the below photo shows. Its not my cycle. It was like that for hours despite me calling up to the tenant.

The housing officer doesn't even mention the tampering with my post and the stealing of money from it on council property

See what I have to deal with here.

This is getting stupid/silly even for Camden council.

Hello have I fallen even deeper into the twilight/twiglet  zone as I sometimes call it.

I can't reply to agent of the landlord Camden council yet I'm too stunned.

Update
I wonder if I'm being 'got at'  from below and above and which even the housing officer seems to be going along with their BS  - because  I didn't go along with the water leak 'scam' the tenant below was trying to pull off and dragged me into it - a 'scam' that 2 plumbers from the councils in-house housing repairs team based at Holmes Road, Kentish Town went along with?

Excuse my French but 'fcuk off' all of ya.

10 Sept 2018
Tenants b/f at it again last night, this time he chains his cycle literally on top of mine

so I go down and unchain my cycle from the railing to move my cycle to hand rail on other side and the front wheel of his bike ends up like below. Was like that for some time. I think he lives around the corner so why he keeps bringing his bike here and chaining it up obstructing mine is a mystery other than just to annoy me and anyone else who happens across his cycle obstructing the pathway, wheelchair users etc. How many cycles does he have I wonder?

Why the tenants visitors can't chain their cycles up somewhere else [not causing an obstruction or touching my cycle] or bring them up to the tenants flat where she has a large patio they can be stored, whereas I have no such area attached to my flat - downstairs has sole access to back garden, is also a mystery. She'd soon moan about it loudly if someone around here kept obstructing her car. 'don't touch my bike' says the 'nephew' to me outside - that time when she exploded in rage at me for daring to ask the 'nephew' if he was going to chain his bike up next to mine. 'Ok I won't touch your bike' I says as I move away from his bike - 'Don't touch my bike ether I says' - only to be ignored by him and the tenant, and the currant b/f. Deep breaths.

11 August 2018

Came home from the recovery college today around 5.30pm and suprise suprise the tenant aboves visitors cycle is back again, chained up where I was going to chain my cycle - where I usually chain it up but where tenant above visitors kept either chaining their bike to mine, or obstructing mine. So chained my cycle on handrail where it obstructs access to the front garden and bins etc.

update
tenant above and b/f have gone out - and left his cycle chained up as above.

update
I am so sick and tired of this, just knowing the b/f and tenant are so near physically to me [in flat above] puts me on edge. Hearing them moving about above me puts me on edge, I try not to let it but it does and I hate it that it does. I don't want to go out downstairs for anything in case I run into either of them because I know I will have to say something and the shouting and abuse is going to be hurled at me again I know it is and it could turn really nasty. Hes staying the night it seems.

I phoned the police on 101 as Im at a loss at what to do. They are coming here tomorrow. I will also mention the tampering with a card that was posted to me and the theft of money from the card. I hope they can help because the landlord Camden council isnt helping with this at all as far as I can see.

I don't have me 'boys' to threaten anyone with like one of her b/fs did to me some years back and spat in my face. Nice eh.

update
Connected to this is this HERE
Back in 2016 when the cycles first appeared in the communal hallway downstairs. Tenant reckoned they where only being left there 10 minutes sort of thing but they weren't they where there for hours at a time sometimes overnight despite my objections.

I remember one day when i came out of my flat door to go downstairs a regular visitor to flat upstairs was coming out and we had a few words - he started saying the bs about the cycles only being their 10 minutes blah blah  - repeating the bs that tenant above was telling everyone i reckon even the landlord. It wasn't true. Funny enough I haven't seen him since then, he used to come here 2/3 times a week to see tenant above. He had a motorbike.

I remember one day coming home and I was chaining my cycle up on the railing when I looked over and saw tenant arrive and get out of her car. Bloke arrives at the same time and gets off his m/bike takes his helmet off. I think it was for my benefit [why I really don't know] that tenant kissed the bloke full on the lips. He looked very surprised and I noticed he had a wedding ring on. I thought to myself I wonder if your Mrs knows you come around here so often.

Did I mention the time 2/3 years back around xmas time when tenant above had some bloke in her flat redocorating with white paint. He was there maybe 3/4 afternoons until around 4.30pm or so. He dripped white paint of landing outside mine and tenants flat doors and left it like that. He left a blackbag full of newspaper he had used on the landing outside my flat door when he and tenant went off somewhere.

I remember hearing him when in her flat once saying to tenant that 'you havent paid for this yet' words to that effect.  I didnt hear tenants reply but shortly afterwards heard her 'love making' noises. I thought ah thats how you're paying for the work. The redecorating works may have been done by a camden council housing repairs man I really don't know as they works had not be logged by the council as I checked.

This was around the time when the tenant had caused water damage to parts of my hallway and bedroom walls and outside wall because she hadnt reported the leak from her toilet overflow pipe which was situated outside over the patio area which is above my kitchen and bathroom/toilet. The water was leaking for months probably and soaked into the walls. The landlord ended up paying for the redecorating of the affected internal area's.

There had also been a leak from tenants bathroom coming through my living room ceiling. All evidented by photo's I sent to landlord and each time I knocked on tenants door and showed her the leaking water. I could have pulled a fast one and claimed all sorts of damage had occured that hadn't , but I didn't. More fool me eh, considering.

Whilst all this was going on there was a report in the Camden New Journal starting back in June 2015 HERE about a fraud investigation to do with the councils housing repairs - last report Nov 2016.

13 Sept 2018
The police didnt  turn up for the 1pm appointment the lady I spoke with on 101 made, they where probably busy. If they had come they could have spoken with tenant upstairs as she was also in. No sign though of b/f or his cycle. Tenant was in all afternoon. I had to contact police last year about the same thing and I thought it had stopped but not so.

I just found out its a different bloke with the blue cycle -  his cycle was chained up again outside on railing earlier - my cycle had fallen to the ground on the other side its still there.

update
I need to move from here but I don't know where to and the only way I can get a move is via swapping with another council tenant. That isnt going to happen though because I would have to tell about the problems with the landlord and flat/building and the other tenants and who in their rght mind would move here knowing that? Yes I know I could lie/omit things but I can't do that, I really can't.

20 Sept 2018
The offending cycles havent been seen for a week. Not sure if its the strong wind or the late night action above thats keeps rattling my living room windows at 3.30am.

Two bouncer looking fellas turned up earlier in a car looking for a neighbour - see you again they says after the transaction was completed - very polite they where. Funny thing happened as well to do with me recording something, it was a blinder.

28 Sept 2018
3.30am tenant having a late night session again, heavy footsteps above me, banging about 'groans' . creaking door or lid keeps being opened of late, I can clearly hear it. Ohh a loud thump on the ceiling. How wonderful. Turns me radio on to drown out noise, wonders how long it will be going on for. Last few days tenant has been noisey, only happens that maybe 2 days in the week she attempts to be reasonably quiet. Its a pattern I know well.

16 Oct 2018
I couldnt help earlier but hear a neighbour on the phone [neighbour was speaking at [out] her open window plus my window was open - noise travels].

At first  I was shaking my head at the nerve of the neighbour telling her employers I think it was, she was ill and couldn't come in that sort of thing -  what a tale neighbour told. Shes lucky shes well enough to be able to go out all night until around 5am and then up chatting until round 7am then a few hrs sleep before neighbour gets up before noon to go to her 'other' job. Been ill for months apparently. How I laughed, seriously I did.
