As reported in a previous post HERE, Camden council as landlord to 30,000 or so tenants has taken away the support that the housing estate officers previously gave to tenants who have problems with housing repairs.
Another tenant has also been blogging about problems with housing repairs HERE, and also mentions how when she approached the local 'housing office' for help she was informed they no longer have anything to do with repairs.
I wonder who came up with the bright idea of taking away from tenants the support needed in getting the landlord to carry out one of the its core duties - repairs - but to continue supporting district management committee's? Have any of these so-called tenant 'leaders' even noticed what the council has done, or are they more concerned about getting their hands on the tonnes of money the landlord allows them to dole out to themselves via the dmc's - and without providing any accounts at their agm's.
